iFLY is open and definitely a sought after adventure! NW Austin residents followed the progress of iFLY while under construction and now all of Austin is embracing the dream of flight by making it a reality!
iFLY is the experiential entertainment company that created modern indoor skydiving in a safe and reliable environment. For the ultimate in an adrenaline rush you will find yourself flying!
iFLY creates true free fall conditions, just like skydiving, without jumping from an airplane (a good thing because you won’t find me jumping from a plane). You safely float on a wall-to-wall cushion of air generated by iFLY’s vertical wind tunnel. You are not attached to planet Earth in any way….you don’t have a parachute and you are not jumping from anything to achieve this euphoric state of balance. It’s just you and the air!
This sounds like an adventure your child will talk about forever! It’s an exploration that will be well worth the time and money spent.
iFLY created field trips designed for elementary students, middle schoolers or even advanced physics students. Students will conduct experiments using aircraft instruments, receive flying and safety training, fly in the wind tunnel, and hear a physics lecture from an accredited educator about the math and science behind a vertical wind tunnel. An iFLY wind tunnel is a marvel of math, science, and engineering that connects what students learn in school to what can be achieved in real life.
To give iFLY a whirl you’ll need to make reservations. They are often booked so if this is something you’d like to share as a family you need to reserve a time slot in advance.
