Hi Joni, you certainly had your camera ready for this shot...a great photo!
David: I didn't think of that! RATS! :)))
Joyce: Calling all ducks! A baby was coming! :)
Thanks, Mark!
Frank: It is a Whistling Tree Duck. The duck house is located in a pine tree. They fly up and nest in the box.
Dorie: I think he was calling the other ducks. But hey, what do I know? HA!
Rebecca: The ducks were very active at the box that day. We believe babies were about to hatch and they were anticipating the arrival. Not sure. But something was going on! :)
Joni, I'm glad you answered Frank with a Whistling Tree Duck. I've never seen one with those colors. What a great "catch."
Joni, I knew there were Owl Boxes, but not Duck Boxes, what a great shot you got!
Joni, Glad that this little duck poised and allowed you to make him famous on the internet.
Than: Here's another shot, though blurred, it shows that it is indeed real! LOL!
Julie: Thank you!
Robert: He does! HA!
Christine: We did not know this either. One of our neighbors suggested we put them up when we mentioned that we had some in our cove.
Debbie: He does seem to be a bit of a ham!
Joni, I think that birdhouse takes on a new meaning with a duck atop! You had to be on top your game to catch this photo - good job!
Well, now that we have established that he is real, I have a great recipe for roast duck with pomegranate wine sauce:-)
Joan: This is a duck house, not a birdhouse. Seriously!
Myrl: Do you deliver? ;)
