I celebrated my 52nd birthday on May 25th, 2013. For some reason, this birthday seemed sweeter. It sure made me THINK. I suppose it really is true that wisdom comes with age because I am much more reflective this year than ever before. I'm sure it has something to do with the number of 50-somethings who have recently passed away. Heck, there have been several 20, 30, 40 AND 50-somethings who have passed over the last several months. It is just so hard to believe.
So, here I am at 52 with both parents, 3 siblings, 2 daughters, wonderful friends- both live & on Facebook and 3 weiner dogs. That is a lot to be thankful for, for sure! I'm not taking a bit of this for granted.
My plan for this year is to get into great shape, lose some weight, read some great books, spend more time with my family & friends, practice better focus in my Real Estate career, pump up the client services I offer, fine-tune the community service work I do in order to truly concentrate on what is most important, be more patient, be more understanding & less judgemental of others, be more generous, take time to grow more plants & flowers, learn some new skills, play my trombone again, laugh more, relax deeply, BREATHE, go to bed earlier, go to the beach more often, help some new agents, find a mentor, be a mentor, learn more about technology, become a better photographer, sing more, listen better, improve my vocabulary, become more green, send more thank you notes, pray more, meditate often, BREATHE deeply, exercise more consistently, eat more fruit, watch the full moon more often, learn some Spanish words, declutter my office, scan & shred more files, surprise others on a regular basis, dance & jump whenever possible, laugh with my brothers, talk about important stuff with my sister, help my parents, donate more to my church, learn to paint, write more blog posts, take lots of videos, ride a horse, swim a mile, visit the capitals of at least 3 states, interview an author, sit on the beach for at least 5 days, among other things.
Fresh starts are always a GREAT thing as are dreams & goals.
Here's hoping that my 52nd year will be one of the best years ever!
Here's hoping that it will be full of fun, smiles, growth and service to others.
There is much to do.......
