Conservative By Nature...

Chevy Volt      It has been a year since I purchased a Chevy Volt and the love affair continues. Not only is it a stylish looking vehicle, but has plenty of room in the boot for my inspection equipment.
I often get into conversations with customers or passer-by's about my thoughts. I muse, "I am conservative by nature. Politically, I am independent.

When I tell folks that I am averaging over 300 MPG for the life of the vehicle, jaws drop followed by, "That's insane!"
I am still running on the tank I purchased over 6 weeks ago. I am averaging right at 416 MPG on this tank. If you are thinking that is insane mileage, you are right! I love the my Independence from the pump!

With the mileage you must put on, this is a pretty smart investment and patriotic as well.

We bought a Highlander Hybrid several years ago and it has been nothing but a disappointment gas mileage wise. EPA estimated 28-30 mpg and we get 23 mpg.

Glad yours is working out for you.

Hi Michael.

Yes, this insane with the amount of mileage you can get. So why are the car manufacturers even building any other cars?

Have a great day in the Brentwood area.

Best, Clint McKie

Michael - I didn't even think that that kind of mileage was even possible in a manufactured vehicle.

Good morning Michael,

Sounds like a winner to me! What is the cost of the battery when you have to replace it?

Michael, That is awesome. Make my 17 mpg's look really bad. I wonder how it would do with all the mountain driving I do?

Michael,

You're a very smart man. People would be wise to listen to what you have to say.

It's good to know you still feel good about your decision and that you haven't changed your mind about performance.

I understand about the need to buy a vehicle that accommodates your needs. Finding the right car that had the back seats to fold down for my Real Estate signs was a challenge.

All the best to you!

This car has been a lot of entertainment for you, It's a challenge to see how long you can go before you have to put gas in it.

I on the other hand, enjoy putting gas in my car, it usually means I've been busy showing homes. When it's slow, that 5 miles to the office every day doesn't require a lot, so I've gone almost a month before having to stop for gas, lately it's been twice a week. I like twice a week a lot better.
