The Asbury Park Press is reporting out of Barnegat Light that some anglers are doing very good with black sea bass since the season opened. High hooks are between 10 to 15 fish and the average catch is six to eight fish. The Miss Barnegat Light made their first bluefish trips of the season but reported no bluefish landed yet. Fortunately the Barnegat Bay and Inlet's warmer temps offered good to excellent action with both stripers up to 18 pounds and bluefish to two to nine pounds on both natural and artificial baits.
