"It ain't easy being green," at least that is what Kermit the Frog says.

Well, I got thinking that maybe it is easier than Kermit lets on. Being a virtual tour builder here in Lancaster, PA, I realize that I am a "green" business.

Web site visitors that take my virtual tours are being green -- instead of burning gas and driving to numerous homes, they are avoiding unnecessary trips. Taking virtual tours is quite green.

So how do I market "green" to real estate agents? Isn't it a good thing that virtual tours are really green? What's the best way to get this "green" message to my market?

Great idea.  I never realized how "Green" the internet is in general.  How many letters, magazines and brochures being sent has email done away with?  Websites too.  One website can equal thousands of sheets of paper.

I think this  "Being Green" will be a great marketing tool for us in the near future with the way things are changing.

That is a very truthful statement and I know first hand I can do most of my research in my p.j's! So I would agree with that because driving around is TOO EXPENSIVE!

Well, the internet may save paper...but if you take into consideration the amount of electricity is needed to supply the internet and its users, the internet is not really all that green.  That takes a lot of coal fired power.

Consider going Carbon Neutral for your mileage and/or a solar powered server for your tours.  That would make it green.  :)

This tour is becoming more important from an economic standpoint as well. I think we will see more green inovations in the future

Hey George,

Digital photography is a huge green step over the darkroom days--never really thought about that!

Stephanie, I love that solar-powered server. The first one will be as large as an apartment complex, and as time goes on they will be able to fit on your watch! Technology's amazing.
