The Turn in the River

Ansel Adams

A home I visited recently had several Ansel Adams prints in very attractive frames and in very appropriate spaces that made coming upon the photographs a very appealing, almost breathtaking moment. So I started leafing through my collection of Ansel Adams photography.

This photo is of a famous turn in the river near Page, Arizona. Bonus points to anyone who knows the river, the owner of the land it's on and/or some of the other natural attractions nearby!

Brad- I haven't a clue but this photo is amazing and I'd suppose we have only to look at the rock formation to see the subtle effect that water can have.

I think it might be owned by the Indians and it is near Sedona or Canyon de Chey! It is spectacular.

Fernando gets bonus points! After starting in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, the 1,450-mile long Colorado River runs through southeastern Utah to Lake Powell in northern Arizona before rounding "__________ Bend" and emptying into the Grand Canyon. From there it runs to Lake Mead and from there . . .

Joanna gets partial credit because it is indeed on a reservation. Full bonus points for naming the "__________" tribe. Hint: they have a power plant outside Page. It's about 200 miles to Sedona, though.
