Is ActiveRain Losing its Google Juice?
By Michael Setunsky
Four days ago I wrote a post titled Commercial Real Estate: What is a CAP Rate? Earlier today I wanted to see how my post ranked in Google. I typed in the title as stated above. I saw it wasn’t on page one, page two, page three, page four, or page 10. I finally found it on page 11. Here’s what I also found that was interesting.
The title on page 11 in the Google Search Engine was "Commercial Real Estate: What is a CAP Rate? – ActiveRain". I thought this was kind of odd. Is Google singling out ActiveRain posts and categorizing them under ActiveRain?
I was curious and also did a search on Bing and Yahoo. On Bing, my post was listed on page two and Yahoo also listed it on page two both with the title as I had originally written it. ActiveRain was not included in the title. Why is ActiveRain included in the Google Search Engine titles and not in the Bing or Yahoo pages? Is this something ActiveRain is including in the titles of our posts?
Here’s my question. What’s up?? Is ActiveRain Losing its Google Juice?
