Where in the heck is China Spring, TX? China Spring is a city located just to the North West of Waco, TX near the Waco Regional Airport and just a few miles down the road from Crawford and Valley Mills TX.
China Spring itself is actually a small city with the 76633 zip code, but what many Wacoans refer to as China Spring includes parts of the City of Waco itself in the 76708 zip code. Confused? Well I think the easiest way to understand it, is to follow the China Spring School District lines. What people often call China Spring are those areas that are within the China Spring ISD including some Crawford zip codes.
The "China Spring" area is a quickly growing community of Waco, with no signs of slowing down. There are several new housing subdivisions along with all sorts of other housing options available within the China Spring ISD. Horse properties, ranches, and country homes dot the city of China Spring in addition to every other property you might be able to think of. There is truly something for everyone in China Spring.
Businesses seem to be locating themselves in the China Spring area at a steady pace with most growth taking place in the City of Waco where several new and newer housing subdivisions sit. Family Dollar, Quiznos, , Trevino's, Zebs, Verizon, Italian Garden are just a few of the local businesses that have recently come around. China Spring also has a Hillcrest Medical Clinic located close to China Spring Schools.
In addition there are several Recreation places close by and in the China Spring Community. A Golf Course and Fishing sit right in some back yards. Lake Waco Airport Park is also nearby scheduled to re-open this spring after last year's flooding.
As far as education goes, many find what they are searching for in the China Spring Independent School District where the Cougars boast award winning athletic, dance and band programs to name a few. Cougar pride is everywhere in its recognizable colonial blue. 
And if it's higher education you are looking for, McLennan Community College is a quick drive down the road and Texas State Technical College just a bit further. If it's a University you are looking for, Baylor University is also close by in a short drive by the river.
On a personal note, some of the things I like the most about living in the China Spring Community include the schools, the people, and the easy drive to just about anywhere in Waco. But there is plenty to love about the China Spring Community.
