I was talking with one of my Realtor friends, and I was floored to know that she neglected to backup any of her work.  Her laptop just simply died on her.   She had a repair shop check it out, and they said her computer can be fixed, however, all of her data is permanently gone.  

What can you do?  I have always used www.gotomypc.com.    It's dirt cheap ($40.00 a year) and it's idiot proof.  Once you download the software it automatically backs all of your work on an ongoing basis.   $40.00 is a very inexpensive insurance policy to save all of your client lists, articles, contacts, memos, favorite websites, etc.   I think they even offer a free trial.  Anyway this is definitely worth checking out.
