Farmers' markets are one of the oldest forms of direct marketing by small farmers. Shopping at the Market is a great way to learn about the food you eat. Most exhibitors grow, raise and make the food they sell and have an indepth knowledge of their products.
Here are a few tips to take with you on Tuesday for the opening of the Cheyenne Farmer's Market!
- Keep an open mind. Try new things. Explore new foods.
- Ask Questions. Ask about the way the food was raised, ask them about ways to prepare their food. They know a lot. That's why they are there!
- Don't buy at the first stand you see. Explore the market to see what else may be out there. Another exhibitor may carry a better looking product or more variety.
- Get curious! Explore and ask questions. You will leave with the best product and the most knowledge!
