The Pennsylvania Builders Association (PBA), the PA state advocate for the home builders, provides information on their web site for housing trends, summary data and statistics.  For example,

PBA reports single-family building permits filed by county - The U.S. Census Bureau provides monthly reports on new, privately-owned residential housing units authorized by building permits. This includes single-family units. The information provided by the PBA shows the number of units, the construction costs and the year-to-date total by county. (The U.S. Census Bureau collects this information permit-issuing jurisdictions including municipalities, counties and townships.)
