Stager Idol Logo

Below is the announcement opening the voting procedure for Stager Idol but voting is now closed and we are off to the next phase with our top 10!

It's finally here; our first opportunity to see all the before and staged pictures and vote on them.  Voting for your favorite Stager Idol competition has begun and continues all week until February 17th at which time the voting process will be cut off at midnight.

Due to the format limitations of our Stager Idol web site, voting is a 4 step process so please read carefully:

  1. Print out the Stager Idol Voting Made Easy Form
  2. Then visit the Stager Idol Photo Gallery
  3. Browse each Stager Idol contestant's photos then rank each one on a scale from 1 - 5 stars, then write those down on the Stager Idol Voting Made Easy Form
  4. Once you have ranked each contestant, click on the Voting Page and enter in your votes

You may go back and vote for contestant's that you missed but you can only enter once per contestant...until your voting is finished or until you have exited the voting.

After voting is finished, you will not be able to re-enter the voting page so be prepared to take your time and look carefully at each Stager Idol contestants work.

(Example: If you hit the DONE button then you cannot go back again and if you vote for half the contestants and don't hit the DONE button but just close your browser then you can go back at a later time to finish voting. In other words' once you hit DONE, you are DONE!

OMG!!! This was so hard. Everyone looks great. Should we consider the difference for using rental furniture packages as opposed to creating another look with your own furniture? Just a thought... I loved looking at all the different styles. Nice job everyone!

Lori - Glad you asked that: Occupied homes are always more of a challenge than furnishing empty spaces...so it is important to look at the before and after pictures carefully and to look for the greatest transformations.  I have seen many vacant stagings that are breathtaking transformations as well.

These were so hard to judge. What talented Stagers. How can anyone not be a believer - they need to see these! Kym

How fun to see all these fantastic photos... I think it should be divided in two categories, occupied and vacant.

Okay, I'm the first casualty of going into the wrong screen first.  I read the above post and clicked on "click here to vote" thinking it would take me to the Stager Idol site where I could begin the process.  Wrong.  I "voted" by clicking on that link without having seen a single picture.  Guess I'll have to sit back and see if my favorites do well.  LOL

Sheron:  There is a problem.  #1149 appears to have the "before" from #1120 - perhaps they are the same stager?  Julie

Quickly - Andrea, you are still OK as long as you closed your browser window and did not click DONE.

Julia - thank you for finding that mix up. We knew there was bound to be something and we will fix it.

Judy and Kim - you can forward this post to everyone you know including real estate agents and they can vote too.

These are all wonderful.  I hope people really hang in there and look at all of them - there are some great lessons and examples in each and every one of them.  Thanks to all who participated.  What a great crash course of staging!!

I'm also very impressed with the photos being watermarked.  Shell, that shows what a considerate, class act you are!  Thank you.

We did not separate the categories from vacant and occupied because these photos are NOT competing with each other, you are ranking them on a 1-5 start system based on the photo submissions on their own Merritt.

Juliet, class act!! thanks so much! I know all you are passionate about your business of staging homes. I am passionate about my business of helping others build their businesses. I have zero talent for staging homes, but I have built Multi-million dollar businesses, departments etc. I love to help people especially women realize their dreams and build their businesses.

Hopefully I am reaching that goal.

Terry - if you visit the voting page you will see that you vote for all the stagers with a 1 to 5 star vote...I know it is difficult not to give out 5's for everyone :)

Juliet - thank you so much for your support!

Sheron, so pretty much if someone tells their entire data base to vote for their number with 5 stars they can stack the deck? Darn, I would hope that it could truly be fair and be voted on just by the pictures. Not sure how the next level goes, those photos with the most stars go to the next level? Kym

Hi Kym - I wouldn't worry about stagers stacking the deck...it is going to take a lot more than a few pleas for votes for a stager to win...plus they will have no control after this phase. Here is a link to how Stager Idol works.

Personally, I dont see stacking the deck being an issue. Really, cheaters suck. If anyone is cheating you wont feel great about yourself when you are done. I deem you into guilt FOREVER!. There now no one will cheat!

I would hope that everyone if they are sending emails out are just asking people to vote honestly. The top ten people move forward and then the celebrity judges take over.

the site crashed

An error has occured. An error has occured. (reference=116266766)

so i'll go back and look at them again tomorrow.

A few of them had the photos out of order and it was confusing

It's amazing the difference when one starts with a clean plate compared to a lived in messy plate.

Hi Virginia - we did not find a problem with the site so please let us know if you run into this problem again.

Due to many contestants submitting their photos incorrectly, time constraints made it impossible to correct every one. I personally have gone through them all and they are simple enough to hit the back button for the few photos that are reversed. Thanks everyone!

Sheron, I voted, but because I live in Florida where our votes NEVER count, guess you can call mine a wash!  But do I get an "I voted" sticker to stick on my shirt anyway?

Great work Sheron and Shell! There are a ton of great entries, and I am excited to see what happens in the next round!

Sheron, don't be too sure!  There are forces at work, which we can't see.  At least here in Florida :-)

Sheron - The stagers that submitted their work have done an awesome job!

Y'all have obviously worked very hard at putting this together and I'm looking forward to seeing the next phase.

Sheron:  I went to the Idol blog site, and there I saw some, but not all, of the contestants (their names, interviews, etc.), I thought this was an anonymous contest (I posted a similar comment on Shel's post too.).  I'm glad I voted before knowing who was actually in it - it was fun trying to guess whose work I was looking at!  Julie

Hi Julia - Stager Idol is an International competition and for the most part the stagers interviews are helpful to those voters who are not familiar with Active Rain, RESA, etc.

I had a similar experience as you because we know a few of the contestants from Stage it Forward but in reality, there are thousands of real estate professionals that have been invited to participate and vote who don't even know who we are. Hope this helps to put it into perspective.
