Boca Raton Offers New Homebuyer Assistance
The City of Boca Raton is offering a program to assist first‐time homebuyers in purchasing eligible properties within the Boca Raton, Florida city limits. Applications and program information packets are available on the Boca Raton website.
Homebuyers will have to live in the home and make it their primary residence. To be eligible homebuyers must fit this criteria:
1. Must have not owned a home during the past three years
2. A single parent with children under the age of 18 who has been divorced
and displaced within the 12-month period prior to time of application
3. A displaced victim of domestic abuse
4. A person displaced as a result of a governmental action
There must also be income eligibilty, 1st mortgage requirements, minimum contributions from buyers, no conflict of interest, and requires participation in a home buying class.
This assistance was put intro effect to help make homes in Boca Raton more affordable and attainable to 1st time homebuyers.
