Here is one ‘wild and crazy’ group that started out (1983) in Thousand Oaks, California as a lost debate between a physics professor (Kevin Stigwood) and one of his students. The loser of the bet had to do anything that the winner commanded – the winner, being the student, demanded that the professor perform "She Blinded Me With Science" a British New Wave song at the half-time of a state basketball championship game.

Professor Stigwood had absolutely no musical background and did not want to be alone during his embarrassing moment; so, he drug in two other teachers plus his own brother. The event started out as one would expect – humiliating. However, by the end of the performance, the group had been so entertaining that the crowd being quite impressed stood to give them a standing ovation … thus the birth of the Spazmatics!

The group has performed on many stages throughout the states and has become quite a crowd pleaser with their humor, antics, in addition to some pretty decent music all from the 1980s. This is an event that you’re sure to enjoy. So plan to come down to Rancho Simi Community Park for a fun filled … and FREE evening.
