Flipper home with issues. No it did'nt pass inspection. Needs changes.
This flipper home has a lot of new work done to it. But how about the way the work was completed?
At Desert Sun Home Inspections in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
We inspect for our client's and keep the best interest of the buyer in mind when we inspect a home.
Safety being number one priority.
we have a furnace that was installed with a new unit. Everything looked good till I got into the attic to check out the furnace's exhaust venting through the attic.
Take a look at this mess as the furnace venting lays on the ceiling framing and not sloped properly.
Yes, this is the furnace venting as it comes out of the furnace room.
Notice how the slope of the venting goes down hill and is not properly supported?
This here is the left side looking at the venting. It's still sitting on the framing. And yes it is an open junction box next to the existing venting.
Keep in mind when the new furnace was installed. The furnace contractor should have just ran the venting straight up and out. And "NOT" utilized the existing exhaust venting that was wrong in the first place.
This install was completed by a respected HVAC contracting company.
This just goes to show you that even the good contractors need a follow up inspection. Corners will be cut at ever chance they get.
Trust but verify through a independent inspection.
Have a really fine day every One.
