An Embarrassing Moment

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Progroup Realty

Two weeks ago I went to meet my buyer to hand over the keys to his new condo in Shaughnessy Heights, Vancouver.

He was about 20 minutes late and I was getting bored just standing in the lobby of the building. Soooo.... I decided that NOW was a good time to practice the new tap dance routine I had just learned at my tap dance class!

For 15 minutes I practiced -"Shuffle-toe, shuffle toe, shuffle , shuffle shuffle toe, shuffle toe toe, shuffle toe toe, shuffle shuffle shuffle toe!" all the while saying this "Shuffle toe" aloud and counting the steps aloud.

Suddenly I noticed a sign saying "These premises patrolled by camera" and I slowly turned around to see the camera pointing right at me.

I figure at some point someone is going to have a very very big laugh! If they haven't already! For all I know it's on You-Tube already!!!

How funny! I thought your story was going to end with you looking up and your client watching you! That might have been a little more akward. At least you had something to fill the time and a cute story to share. :o)

Thanks for the laugh.  That is so funny.  I am still giggling.  That is nothing compared to my most embarrassing moment.  Mine is so bad I could never post it on-line, luckily I came out of it like a rose.

Yours is cute.

I love it! You were using your time wisely; kind of like multi-tasking.  You must enjoy making the best of every moment.

Did your clients get to enjoy this moment?

I think I had more fun reading all the comments! Since we are now practicing for the big production, I find myself tapping in a lot of locations- like standing in line at the grocery store or while chopping vegetables in the kitchen ..... not the whole sequence but just certain steps. I probably just look "fidgety" to bystanders. My husband has a Yiddish expression for it- "SHPILKUS IN TUCHUS" which is roughly translated "can't sit still..." or "ants in her pants..."
