Several years ago, Garth Brooks did a song called "Standing Outside the Fire". As the video is more to do with a child's desire to try out for the track team as opposed to Special Olympics, it has a lot to do with us.

Too many times have I witnessed people that would not take a chance. Too many times have I witnessed people that would rather sit on the sidelines instead of getting out and pushing themselves to the next level. Too many times do people give up and want to merely survive instead or living their life tried.

My good friend in St Pete, Florida talks about a Realtor that said they were hanging it up. This is exactly the type of thing that I am referring to.

Last night I got a call from a "Loan Officer". I asked why I have not heard from him in so long and he told me he had to go out and do the real job thing. What is it we do?

I present this question to you: Is your Life Tried or Merely Survived.

Think before you answer it.

*Disclaimer* This video is touching. You might want to have a Kleenex box beside you.

Ok I skipped the video.  Just didn't need the tears today, lol.  However, I think you are on to something here and must have some people thinking.  I know my mind has been going ninety to nothing since we talked last night.  I was in the survived category until yesterday now I will be in the tried category.  2008 is going to be a fun ride.

Linda, welcome to the tried side of the world. It is never easy, but the rewards are worth it.
