Top 5 Reasons to avoid wearing camouflage while showing homes!

Top 5 Reasons to avoid wearing camouflage while showing homes!

1. In order to be effective, you must also be seen by those around you.

2. You may startle people when you speak because they are unable to see you.

3. Must stay away from trees because you may 'go missing' while showing properties.

4. Police will pull your car over because they cannot tell if you're behind the wheel.

5. Clients may think you will be deployed before you satisfy their real estate goals.

When hunting, camouflage is your friend but not during working hours unless you work for the Armed Forces. You want to be at your best when meeting with clients and able to get their full attention! So, dress appropriately, clients will notice and appreciate that! Next time, we will discuss why short-shorts, tank tops and flip-flops are not acceptable work attire either!

Carry on now!

Wanda,  I imagine even serving military personnel that wearing camouflage would still be inappropriate.  As for the short-shorts ... I think they need to be outlawed altogether!  (LOL)!

Wanda,  Did you recently run into someone who was showing homes in Camo?  This is so funny.

Kathleen, The thought of wearing camo at work just cracks me up...unless you are military, of course! And short shorts while selling homes...not a good choice at all!

Belinda, No but I just thought what if...My mind just goes places at times and this is what resulted!

Wanda,

Funny enough, this post reminds me of the silly designers who thought that shorts and a jacket was a professional woman's new chic attire?  It flopped, and I could have told them that long time ago.  LOL A

Wanda-I kept looking at the house to see if there was somebody who blended in with all the gray and that is what you meant. Smiling

Alexandra, I remember that well! Short sleeves I am for but shorts...uh, no!

Sharon, I was just trying to prove a point. Someone could be there but maybe they are wearing camouflage clothing...!

I too think you should look as nice a possible when showing homes. If it is a beach atmosphere would be the only place that I think I would not wear a suit.

Sounds like advice for those of us who hunt also.  I will keep this in mind.

Fun post Wanda, it sure attracted my attention!  We were called by one of our sellers last week because he thought clients were going into his home alone. Turned out it was the agent in flip flops, capris and tank top. The seller was at a neighbours watching.
