The Narragansett Art Festival is happening this weekend. Located in Veterans Memorial Park in Narragansett RI across from Narragansett beach and next to the historic Narragansett Towers. It is a Rhode Island coastal real estate happening that goes back in tradition many years. Sponsored by the Wakefield Rotary Club, the event is open to all for Free from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days. It is a great way to enjoy the weekend and various art forms. Artists may exhibit work in oils and acrylics, watercolors and pastels, drawings and graphics, photography, sculpture, carvings and other media forms. A panel of judges will designate awards in various artist categories on Saturday morning with ribbons and cash prizes awarded then.
Visitors to Narragansett RI and the nearby Narragansett Beach will find the magical enjoyment of the day and the location - it really is about the waterfront in Narragansett, beach and RI coastal life style. It is what keeps home buyers coming here to vacation and then buy a home. It is an intoxicating coastal community that welcomes all.
Net proceeds from this annual Rotary event are
designated for the Rotary Club’s four-year scholarship and two year vocational scholarship programs in South Kingstown, Narragansett and Prout High School students.
