Okay, I'm loading up the car getting ready for today's schedule. It will be a full day and a wide variety of activities which is one of the reasons I love being a real estate professional. You'll never hear us say at MoonDancer Realty that we have a day with nothing to do! We respect our time and want to be sure it is invested wisely in our business in order to best benefit our sellers and buyers.
Blogging works! My first errand is to locate and evaluate a potential new listing in Cane Creek Ridge Development. Why do I say blogging works? The seller of the Cane Creek property doesn't live in this area so they aren't familiar with real estate agents here. First they googled Sylva real estate and there was MoonDancer Realty, along with several others. Then they googled Cane Creek Realtors and boom...MoonDancer Realty was all over the place. Why? Because I've blogged the heck out of the subject. I've linked their HOA site to ours, I've photographed whimsical things, I've blogged about our listings and talked about the fineness of this neighborhood. The seller noticed...plus we've got that whole Office Manager babe working for us!
Right smack in the middle of the day is an ActiveRain University Boot Camp webinar with Bob Stewart and Kerrie LaGuardia. It's really important to time block in these educational opportunities if we want to stay fresh and effective in real estate. This particular class helps hone blogging skills as it relates to gaining new clients.
After the webinar, we have two really nice listings that we took this spring. Living in this area we have to be careful with residential exterior photos...the seasons while awesome looking to the naked eye can sometimes be a challenge with the photos. In these two listings, winter was still apparent without leaves on the trees, bare patches in the grass and remnants of dead leaves everywhere. Even though some photo editing can take care of some of these things, there's nothing like fresh photos. When I blog about these two listings, I'll want the photos to be all that they can be!
In between these excursions, there are calls to make, listings to tweak and searches to perform for the buyers we are working with. We've always got something to do. In the past I've worked for offices and watched dumbfounded while agents played video games, shopped online or otherwise wasted time with phone calls to friends. This subject is fodder for another blog post but we know time is a precious commodity and needs to be invested wisely when working in real estate. Our buyers and sellers deserve nothing less.
