The Hidden Lake subdivision of Palm Harbor Florida is another lovely place to raise a family. Located just east of Alternate 19 and south of Alderman Road, Hidden Lake gets it's name from a sink hole that was once open to the public. Blue Sink, as the sinkhole was called, was a public swimming hole during the 1950's, 60's and 70's. The hole is 190 feet deep and local kids used to swing into the water from the branches of the Live Oak trees surrounding the sinkhole. Today Blue Sink is on private property and no longer open to the public.
The neighborhood of Hidden Lake consists of mostly three and four bedroom homes that were built during the 1980's. Many have been upgraded in this community that shows pride in ownership by the well manicured lawns and gardens.
Zoned for some of the best schools in the county, Hidden Lake is minutes to the Gulf Beaches and just across the street from the Pinellas Trail. Hidden Lake offers residents a community park, playground and tennis courts. Both the zoned high school and elementary school are within walking distance for students and the local middle school is only a short bus ride away.
