If tomorrow never comes.

I was reading a blog written by Colleen Fischesser. The blog was titled Would you be Missed? and it was thought provoking. In hers, she talks about if you would be missed if you left.

But here is the question I have for you to ponder. If something happened to you today, and there was no tomorrow, do people really know how you feel.

Does your co-workers know? Does your friends know. Does your clients know? Does your business partners know? Does your kids know? Does your family know? Does your spouse or significant other know? Do you even know.

My question is this. Do you tell them daily?

Ok, you are just all about making me think today.  I did watch this video cause I had not seen it before.  I know that all my peeps know how I feel, I wear it too much on my sleeve for them not to.

Linda, today is a thought provoking day for me, so I am just sharing my thoughts with the world.

Danny - A question for the ages....never to be reiterated enough.  I would hope everyone knows how I feel but there's always room for constant reminders.

Nice video, I had never seen it before. It appears that Ronan Keating is English at that! I am impressed that he was able to keep singing as he was being run over.

Danny, I'm so sappy, yes they do. You never know if the last time you see someone is going to be the last time you'll see them.

Danny, thanks for the video and pointing out Colleen's post.  I am confident with family and my personal relationships they know where I stand, because daily I say it and try to live it.

Professionally... there are some that would know and hopefully my connections and my impact will grow and I can find better ways to be useful and make a difference.  I am trying one very small step at a time.

10 years ago in my early 20's I had my daughter.  I was engaged and living with her father.  We were renting, we were young and by no means wealthy in finances.  But the real estate attorney I worked for didn't want to lose me, so he offered to have my daughter come to work with me everyday.  She did that for three years before I left (having worked there a total of 7) and moved into corporate relocation.

Fastforward to February of 2007. I hired a young single woman at the age of 20 to be my live out nanny while I worked.  I paid for her to get her CPR and we discussed setting goals and getting her GED.  Well she is now 21, married and just had a beautiful baby boy.  She is on maternity leave and will be coming back to me in March.  We are going to try to have the baby here while she works again for me, part time at first.

Because I believe the universe probably brought her into my life, and I need to pay it forward if I can.  So one small step at a time, maybe I can help make a difference by opening an opportunity like the one that was given to me.

Debbie, so true.

Rebecca, that is a marvelous story and I truly believe that we need to do all that we can. Thanks for sharing.
