Stormy Thursday on Cape Canaveral Beach

By
Real Estate Agent with Oikos Realty, Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach Florida

It's afternoon tropical rain season here in Florida and the weather can change in a heartbeat. As long as you are aware and take precautions, there's no problem. Just make sure you seek shelter if you hear or see lightning. These clouds over the ocean looked ominous but produced very little rain or winds. You never know! Does anyone see the face at the top of the photo? I think it looks like a Viking Warrior :-) BTW - I appologize for not commenting on my AR friend's blogs lately. I have some storm clouds of my own to deal with which should be resolved soon. Take care, my friends!

Oh my goodness, that sky does look ominous!  I haven't seen anything quite like it since my trip to Utah in 2009.

Hi John, I remember the heavy cloud formations that come usually bringing some unusually strong weather. I looked for the Viking but thus far he is eluding me.

Wow, John!  Something tells me there were no launches planned for the day you shot this one.

A little cloud cover would be nice here right now. We got a nice rain lst night and it cooled it down to the low 90s today........

Hi Myrl - There wasn't too much rain but it scared us off the beach.

William - Looking for faces in clouds is purely subjective and mostly a product of imagination :-)

Hi Pat - The only things that launched were seagulls and pelicans heading for cover.

Than - We get afternoon tropical storms almost every day here now. I just hope we don't get a hurricane!

John,

The last time I saw ominous clouds like that was over the Atlantic in Portland, Maine! You're right about being prepared and not over-reacting. Having a plan and knowing what to do is essential.

I'm sorry there's a dark cloud looming over your head and I hope the sun comes out and things look bright again. I wish you strength and courage to break through the barriers and the things that are cloudy.

Pat - No nicer sentiments were ever expressed to me. Thank you for being concerned. I will pull through like I always have as long as the sun breaks through a little more each day. Take care my friend!
