I am posting this because i have recieved an e-mail today that was asking for help for our Colorado wildlife and i am trying to do my part. So if you live visit or even just simply like seeing wildlife in Colorado Please take action Today.
Big game animals are battling severe winter weather conditions in the Gunnison area. The DOW is concerned that mortality among deer could be catastrophic unless they get some help. The DOW is starting to give deer a specially formulated feed to help them survive the winter.
More than 60 inches of deep, crusted snow coupled with extreme cold have begun to take a toll on deer and other wildlife populations in the Gunnison Valley. At this time, DOW biologists believe that if we do not aid these populations through a temporary feeding program, the extreme conditions may lead to excessive winter losses in these populations. The loss of wildlife in this part of our state has the potential to negatively impact the local economy which depends on out-of-town visitors coming to enjoy wildlife. Conserving wildlife and supporting the people who depend on wildlife for their livelihood is part of the DOW mission. By donating to the Division of Wildlife today, you will be participating in a valiant effort to help save some of Colorado's wildlife. Each donation will be used to buy and distribute specially formulated feed to animals in need.

The feeding operation will be expensive and those who wish can donate to the effort. To make a donation click on the links i have provided below or you can call anyone of the division of Wildlife offices also listed below. Please help keep Colorado wild
