Supermoon in Solomons, MD - This picture taken from one of the piers in Solomons Landing last night in Solomons, MD is a taste of the supermoon that officially occurs tonight and early Sunday morning. What better way to enjoy this phenomenon that occurs every 14 months, than the beautiful Solomons waterfront. A supermoon, also known as a perigee moon occurs when the moon is a larger, brighter full moon and closer than other times of the year. This supermoon is noteworthy due to being at its largest, brightest, and closest. Enjoy!
