Tonight Was Truly A Memorable Moment

By

One of the things I appreciate about Real Estate is that of making new friends, often as a result of a Real Estate Transaction.

The story: About 3 years ago I sold a house to a young lady. While under contract, she introduced me to her fiance and they invited us to their wedding. We've been over to their home for holiday celebrations and tonight they visited us, in our home for dinner. They are a beautiful family and we truly enjoyed ourselves this evening. We laughed, played music, enjoyed Orange Chicken, Decadent Chocolate Brownies and just chatted! How refreshing!!!

Someone asked me the other day if I plan to retire any time soon? My response: Not yet! I'm enjoying this too much! I have the honor of helping people find a new house that they in turn make into their home. Then we get to cultivate relationships, much like this evening, enjoying life to the full. It just doesn't get any better than this! You see, tonight was truly a memorable moment.

Retire, not sure what that means. I remember someone asking my dad about retirement, he said after he dies, he'll have lots of time to rest.

Nice story about your friends.

David, all while reading your post, I was smiling!   This is truly why we do this!    This afternoon I am going over to a couple's home that I sold last summer, and they want me to meet their grown children for future business.    Couldn't be doing anything better!    Sounds like your evening was perfect!

David - I don't know if I'll ever be able to retire, I LOVE what I do and the relationships that have come from it and will come from it are priceless.

David,

Suggested! You're right! It doesn't get any better than this. I relish moments like this - to me they are more meaningful that the old Corporate bonus or Spot Reward.

You can't put a price tag on building relationships and the only way to grow a business is to build great relationships which you are doing.

Retirement is NOT an option! Keep growing everyday of your life and never even think about retiring.
