Take The Long Way Home....

This is something I did all the time when I lived in NYC, but not so much anymore.  It's amazing what you can discover that was right under your nose all the time.

Michael-They have the BlueRidge Parkway here and I have been on that before. It is a great scenic route with places you can get off in several locations. It isn't close to where I live now but when I had my own apt before I moved in with Mom it was closer and it was a great scenic route with many places to stop and get out for photo ops or just to stretch your legs. Mostly now I just go my regular route as I don't stray too far away from home. One day I will again. Have a great Monday

All I can hear is the song playing in my head! I love to explore, and the long way gives me more time to see possible walking paths and listen to my book, in peace!

Good Morning Michael, I used to get lost all the time when I first moved from the "country" into the city and it taught me alot of back roads. I still veer off the main path regularly, I like to see what new routes I can discover. Sounds like you had a productive weekend!

Good Morning Michael - I'm not a songwriter, but I'll bet that could be the opening line and maybe even the title to a great Country Song - TAKE THE LONG WAY HOME.

Taking the long way, or a different way takes you out of your comfort zone. As for me, it makes me more focused and alert! I love this post!
