Augustin Barrios and the Classical guitar

By
Real Estate Agent with Classic Realty, Inc.

One of my favorite composers for the classical guitar is Augustin Barrios.  Barrios was born in 1885 in Paraguay, he was a phenomenal guitarist every bit as good as his contemporary "El Maestro" Andres Segovia.  Currently when I am not helping people buy and sell homes here in College Station/Bryan, TX, I am learning a piece that Barrios wrote called the "Primavera-vals" (waltz) it has a very beautiful melody.

For those that might be interested in hearing his music, I would recommend buying David Russell's recording of Barrios' music, or John William's, either one is absolutely gorgeous.  You should be able to find it in a google search.

I enjoy hearing you play, Barrios, Jonathan.  The Lord has helped you to develop your talents on the guitar.  Keep it up!  Still remember traveling with you to Austin to hear John Williams, Classical Guitarist, in concert
