Hot Day Photowalking in Maryland

The hot days of summer have suddenly arrived in Maryland.  All of us need to take extra care as the heat index approaches 100 degrees this week.

I like to photowalk through our home community, Kentlands, in Gaithersburg, MD.  I find that the best time for daily walks is early in the morning.  And, I love the morning light for flower photography.

Get out early, with your camera in hand, to enjoy the colors of the season. It is easy to set aside the problems of the day when we focus our attention and our camera on a beautiful flower.  Get up close and really enjoy the beauty of nature.

These photographs were taken in our Kentlands home garden

I think Kentlands has all the pretty flowers Roy. At least it seems to be the case with your early morning walks and light. Simply gorgeous photography. Stay cool, best you can with the HEAT.

Good afternoon Roy,

Good to hear that summer has suddenly arrived in Maryland after a long, cold and wet winter you had.  Debbie and I are enjoying our very early morning and the late night walks.  Needless to say Dixie enjoys chasing the Jack Rabbits and critters scampering about in the cooler temperatures as well.

It is always good to receive your comments. After reading Gary's blog, I wonder if I should be spending time on ActiveRain.

Roy another set of beautiful pictures. Stay safe in the heat by walking when it is still cool or cooler than the heat of the day. The heat has arrived in NH as well and i see a trend of showings moving to early morning and later evenings. have a good day

After 3 solid days of overcast and rain here in Sacramento, we leapt into a warm 90 degree today.  Temps are climbing, with 100s forecast for this weekend.  I plan to get my exercise in early.

It is sometimes a good practice to revisit old blogs and reblogs. We might even find some good ideas for current posts.
