Is Port Richmond the Next Hot 'Hood?

The Inquirer makes a case for Port Richmond in this spotlight on one of our favorite neighborhoods.  But it's not just the awesome pierogi and Polish specialties that makes Port Richmond hot. The article points out something that we have indeed been noticing, that Port Richmond is getting younger, with its affordable pricing drawing in buyers, mainly in their late 20s and early 30s. Our own Chris Somers of the Somers Team was quoted in the article:

"The sections of [zip code] 19125 that are not really Fishtown still get more attention, such as East Kensington west of Frankford Avenue and north of York Street [Old Richmond]," Somers said. "[Yet] Port Richmond as well as Bridesburg attract the younger buyer, too, and the price points are quite affordable."

If you're looking for a great deal outside of Center City, all signs are pointing towards Port Richmond.

Curious about Port Richmond? Here are two amazing properties worth checking out. Both homes are priced under $190,000.
