Busy Successful Weekend in Chatham-Kent Again

The weather co-operated and Chatham-Kent completed another successful weekend of events. I hope you got to experience one of them first hand!

The Thamesville Threshing Festival Thamesville Threshing Festivalgot a little rain on Friday night but the rest of the weekend the weather was great. This is one of the signatureClassic Car Events in Chatham-Kent in the summer and you could see several of the great cars coming and going to the event on the streets of Chatham and surrounding areas on Friday and Saturday morning. Those that attended the Car Show as well as other events at the Festival had a great time and look forward to next year's Annual Celebration with great anticipation.Watch my blog for dates and details.

Tilbury was also a busy place with their Annual Festival. Vendors, Rides, Entertainment and good old fashioned commaderie were the order of the weekend. The crops are planted for the most part and the wheat is not ready yet so the area farmers had a little break to visit with their neighbors and enjoy the comraderie of the community.

The Annual Paincourt Tractor Pull took place Friday Evening and parking was at a premium. The cars and trucks lined the Fair Grounds under the Water Tower as well as up and down the roads for miles, even in the ditches. I have not heard the exact numbers of those attending but judging from the vehicles it was a record event.

Chatham-Kent is a buzz most weekends in the summer so watch for those events and the schedules on my Chatham-Kent website Another great pastime is to visit one of our area resorts like Mitchell's Bay or Mitchell's BayErieau and spend some relaxing time at the beach. My wife and I did just that yesterday and we were not alone. The city was hot and the breeze off the water at the Bay was wonderful which brought families out in great numbers. The water level is up and great for cooling off. There wereWindsurfers, Boaters and Jet Skiers to watch or just down time to read my favorite boating magazine.

This weekend, June 29 I am having an Open House at 150 Ross Lane at Erieau on Saturday from 1-3 P.M. so come visit me there. Watch for my signs and of course myReMax Balloon and enjoy seeing this Beautful Waterfront Executive Home on Rondeau Bay with its own Private Lake Erie Beach

Lake Erie Private BeachStay in the Village for dinner and its charm will captivate you.Why not live in a paradise like this.
