Hi Donna,
Well, since you are the person who brought us to AR - we have to say that we're really happy for you and now maybe you can give us your secret too! :) Great job! You deserve it - I know you work your behind off!
Lisa
Daniel- Yes, AR has been great for my business... many buyers and a few sellers have contacted me through my profile.
Jim- Thanks!
Lisa- No real secret... I just blog what I feel, and I try to relate it in some way to Dallas or Texas so I can put at least one of those terms as a keyword so it is filtered when people do searches. And, yes, my behind has fallen off as my favorite jeans are very baggy!!
Nice success story! Thank you for sharing that!!
Our market is picking up, and I've been VERY busy this year thus far, so I can actually imagine selling the house in 60 days!!
Thanks for the encouraging words!
Donna, grreat job. Can you send some of those sellers this way! What a great story. Good luck in getting their home sold fast. I love seeing great agents work with great people!
Donna -
ActiveRain may have brought you the prospect, but it was your knowledge and expertise and personality that won the listing. Teamwork!!
Wow, woman...that is terriffic!!!!!
I am waiting for my ship(s) to come in.......hehehehehe
=-D
Awesome Donna!!!
Now I need to get some referrals from activerain!
just FYI, I don't think we can discuss commissions on here like you brought up above....I would say xx% higher then what I normally charge, not a specific %..
Donna,
Thanks for the post. The testimonials go a long way to supporting the ActiveRain and its members.
Again, thank you to all. I'll definitely update the post once it's listed and showings start to roll in.
Craig, commissions are "allowed" to be mentioned because there is no mention about how they should be standard and across the board, and broker's aren't working together to make sure commissions are set. Mentioning commissions is not wrong. I don't have a standard commission. I have a commission that I would love to receive from each seller, as I have bills to pay too, but it doesn't always work out that way.
I get different answers I guess from different people. I just had our 16 hours of class time here in Indiana a month or so ago and he said we weren't allowed to, but he could be wrong. He mentioned a court case in Indiana regarding two brokers that had mentioned a commission while eating dinner, just about what they charge(they worked for different real estate companies). Someone at another table was in the real estate industry, or some type of watch dog. They got sued! I may be missing the boat here, but that was what I thought I heard in class...
I think what others and the teacher at class had mentioned was discussing with other agents a commision could be considered "collusion"...
Now if you are at your office in a meeting discussing what a minimum standard is for an office, than I believe that is fine to do...
Here is one post that this was discussed a little bit recently..

Donna,
Congratulations! Hopefully you'll see plenty more where that came from in the future. Let it rain, let it rain, let it rain!
