Gandolfini Ignored The Signs of a Heart Attack. .How About You?
Following the death of James Gandolfini (talented actor) I received an email highlighting this point. . I realized how important that is for everyone to read. . So, here it is. . Four Symptoms That You Should Not Ignore . . That Gandolfini Did
A heart attack occurs when the blood flow to a part of the heart is blocked, usually by a blood clot. If this clot cuts off the blood flow completely, the part of the heart muscle supplied by that artery begins to die.
Signs of a heart attack include:
1. Uncomfortable pressure, squeezing, fullness or pain in the center of your chest. It lasts more than a few minutes, or goes away and comes back.
2. Pain or discomfort in one or both arms, the back, neck, jaw or stomach.
3. Shortness of breath with or without chest discomfort.
4. Other signs such as breaking out in a cold sweat, nausea or lightheadedness.
As with men, women’s most common heart attack symptom is chest pain or discomfort. But women are somewhat more likely than men to experience some of the other common symptoms, particularly shortness of breath, nausea/vomiting and back or jaw pain.

Thanks for sharing this. I'm still so sad about this, but at least there is a little bit of good coming out of it.
Thanks for sharing this message. It was sad to hear of his passing, but yes, he did ignore the signs. Plus he abused his body for years. Scary stuff.
Yeah - Signs of Heart attack and don't forget stroke are found in way too many people and they just shrug them off. Until it happens.....often too late.
Fernando. great advice. I can tell women that as you said the symptoms are not always at all the same as a man with the crashing chest pain. I was experiencing nausea and tightening in my throat. Thought I had the flu, nope , Lucky for me I went to the ER. Dixie
Hey, Fernando! I included this post in today’s Last Week’s Favorites. Please drop by and check it out, and have a great week!
Fernando, Been there and I had shortness of breath but really didn't know what that meant. It wasn't until the twinges happened that I decided something was going on.
Thanks for the post Fernando. Definitely things I'm going to be more conscience of.
Too many people have no warning at all and their symptoms are silent! I lost my first husband in 1990; he was young, healthy, slender and fit. We were celebrating a clean bill of health after a thorough medical including a stress test and all the accompanying bloodwork. All was good until it wasnt' 6 hours later!
People take care of yourself! How you live pretty much dictates how your will die.
Good reminder to heed the warning symptoms, especially if you are fortunate enough to have symptoms--some do not.
Did someone confirm Gandolfini actually ignored these signs? Usually it is hard to confirm that if the subject is already dead.
Information that should be shared. Those symptons would be easy to overlook.
Thanks. We all need to be reminded of this because when the time comes, it is hard to remember. Other things are going on.
Fernando, this is such an important list to have on hand in order to take appropriate action.
Thank you for taking the time to write a comment. .I hope this was able to help at least one of us that maybe experiencing some discomfort and know to seek immediate help. .
Hi Fernando-Thanks for the reminders. We all like to think we are tough, but we should all be aware.
Eli
Great information and something for people to take very seriously....I can see why so many ignore the syptoms though. Unfortunately I experience most of those symptoms on a regular basis....throw in some anxiety and I could be at the hospital far too often!
