The food at Restaurant Orsay is elevated to an art form. This is fine dining in a bistro fashion, combining traditional French cuisine along with some dishes using French cooking techniques with a Southern flair. Food comes from locally grown farms and the bartenders have a roof top herb garden for their specialty drinks. The atmosphere is fun and trendy - the food is superb.
Dishes you have to try:
You just have to try the Escargots, even if you're not sure you like them. They are arguably the best in any Jacksonville restaurant. The Caesar Salad was not just any ordinary Salad, as the photo shows. Another must is the Lobster Pot Pie. The flavors of the greens in the pan cannot be described but have to be savored. I can still taste them and want to go back for more.
Frank and I ate there for an early Birthday dinner - we like eating in the Bar area, as it's more casual than the formal dining room. There are also an outdoor covered patio area and an outdoor lounge for cocktails, which was just perfect on the sunny afternoon.
