4th of July celebrations are happening all over the Lake Norman Area this week. If you are looking for a family-friendly celebration, check out the some of the events below to pick your family’s location to celebrate:
Lowe’s YMCA, Mooresville: hosting a free festival from 4-10pm on Wednesday, July 3rd. Fireworks begin at 9:30pm but attendees are encouraged to arrive early to ensure a good view.
Coca-Cola 4th of July Festival: the U.S. National Whitewater Center is hosting a festival on July 3rd and 4th. Both days include musical performances, cornhole tournaments and fireworks in the evening.
Kannapolis Intimidators: will have fireworks after their July 3rd game against the Augusta Green. The game begins at 7:05pm.
Birkdale Village Celebration: the 9th annual 4th of July celebration is from 10am-1pm in Birkdale Village. The entire family can enjoy activities.
Westport 4th of July Parade: the Westport community hosts an annual parade at 10am. Community members can participate and prizes are awarded for best decorated car, bike, wagon, motorcycle & golf cart. The parade begins and ends on Fairfield Forest Rd.
Discovery Place Kids: from 10am-1pm, families can enjoy an Independence Day Festival – admission is $8.
Davidson Parade: a parade begins at 5:30 pm on South Street, ending on the town green. Community members can participate and decorate their wagons, bicycles, etc. A concert by The New Familiars will begin after the parade, on the town green.
Fireworks on Lake Norman: pick a spot on the lake, friend’s dock, or public area (Queen’s Landing, multiple boat landings, Beatties Ford Park) to watch fireworks over Lake Norman. Multiple areas will be begin a fireworks show at dark – Peninsula, Trump National Golf Club, etc
Novant Health July 4th Spectacular: from 6-9pm, enjoy family friendly activities at Memorial Stadium in Charlotte. Fireworks will begin at 9:30pm and admission is free!
