Charlotte Celebrates July 4th With Music and Fireworks

Charlotte celebrates July 4th with music and fireworks all over town. Check out this list for all the places to go to enjoy Charlotte's music and fireworks displays:

• SouthPark: The Charlotte Symphony Orchestra will present "Celebrate America" at Symphony Park just behind SouthPark Mall on July 3rd. The festivities begin at 7pm. Tickets are $10 for anyone over the age of 18 (otherwise free admission). Tickets can be purchased on line until noon on July 3rd at www.CharlotteSymphony.org. Bring your own chairs and blankets.
• Presbyterian Hospital July 4th Spectacular: on July 4th at Memorial Stadium. This is considered Charlotte's "official" July 4th fireworks display and it attracts upwards of 300,000 people to the uptown area of Charlotte. AOL Travel ranked this show as the 13th best in the country. Lots of live music until 9:00pm. Fireworks begin about 9:30pm.
• Carrowinds Amusement Park: "Nights of Fire" will take place every night from July 4th through August 11th.
• Charlotte Motor Speedway: enjoy the Fireworks Extravanganze Night on July 2nd.
• U. S. National Whitewater Center: Coca-Cola's Fourth of July Festival takes place July 3rd and July 4th--two days of free live music and fireworks.
• Fort Mill: WBT Skyshow: at Charlotte Knights Stadium. Fireworks will take place after the Charlotte Knight's baseball game. Pre-game festivities include live music. Some call this the area's best and biggest fireworks display and the event is typically a sell out.
• Lake Wylie, SC: Lake Wylie's annual fireworks display is an annual tradition and there's great viewing from the Buster Boyd Bridge which crosses Lake Wylie.
• Grady Cole Center: Red, White & Boom! an annual event at 4:00pm on July 4th.
• Historic Waxhaw: 10:00am is the official start of Waxhaw's parade, beach party and fireworks. Lots of live music, water entertainment, and of course, fireworks once the sun sets.
