Once again, Avery Ranch in Austin, TX will present a spectacular fireworks show. This year's fireworks are scheduled for Wednesday, July 3, so mark your calendars and plan to be on hand. The fireworks show has always been one of my favorite things about living in the neighborhood.
The fireworks show originates from the golf course at 10500 Avery Club Dr Austin, TX 78717 starting around 9:00 – 9:30 PM conditions permitting according to the last message I received from the course. The fireworks show typically lasts 20-25 minutes.
The best location to view the Avery Ranch Fireworks show is from the Main Amenity Center (the large pool in the Morningside section of the neighborhood) located at 10121 Morgan Creek Dr (corner of Avery Ranch Blvd and Morgan Creek Dr). The fireworks can be seen from inside the pool area or from the surrounding park.
Pre-Fireworks festivities begin at 4 at the Main Amenity Center, there will be hot dogs, hamburgers and ice cream sold along with a couple bounce houses for kids and 2 live bands. It will be a great time for our neighborhood.
The golf course is also allowing you to bring chairs and blankets to watch the fireworks from the driving range tee boxes. They will have the band Ulrich Ellison & The Tribe playing from 7:30-9:15 PM and serving beer, soda, gatorade and snow cones. No outside food and drink is allowed at the course.
Earlier in the afternoon the 2013 Independence Scramble golf tournament will be held at the Avery Ranch Golf Course. Shotgun start is at 3 PM. Included in the tournament registration is dinner and prime seating on the driving range for the fireworks show. The cost for the tournament is onlyregistration is $65 + tax per player.
