Were you aware that President Ronald Reagan designated July as the National Ice Cream month? Did you know that the 3rd Sunday of July is designated as the National Ice Cream day? President Reagan called on all citizens to observe these festivities. I am beginning to feel a special closeness on our late president. I have a feeling that he must have had a sweet tooth...first jelly beans and now I discover that he loved ice cream.
It is said that over 90% of our national population enjoys ice cream. Now whoever doesn't enjoy this delightful treat, please raise your hand. Don't think we will see many hands going up, especially in Southern California. We are having record breaking heat ranging in temperature in the high 120's in Death Valley. Our own Inland Empire had to endure a high temperatures of 109 over the weekend.
