To my fellow Americans on this day of freedom, remember America is a confluence of different cultures and ideas; it is a way of life that is strong because of our uniqueness as individuals; that we all come together to form a bigger and better group. Keep in mind that many have fought and died so that we can all be free -- free to love, hate, and to live lives in the pursuit of happiness.
Besides enjoying your loved ones and pursuing your happiness by watching fireworks and eating BBQ today, consider also your freedom to hate . . . Yes, consider who you hate on this day of freedom. . .
Dig deep into your soul and consider who you hate, be it other ethnic groups, the LGBT community, Republicans or Democrats, rich / poor / fat / skinny people, anyone you personally hate. Think long and hard about exactly why you hate them. Ask yourself what these people have actually done to hurt you personally, not what the media, your friends, family, or other groups tell you to think, but what you personally know to be fact from first hand experiences.
Now consider that fact that a lot of good people including mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, and best friends have died to defend your rights, including your right to hate. As you reflect, ask yourself if the reason you hate is worth personally dying for . . . Next ask if this hate of yours is worth losing a mother, father, brother, sister, or best friend to defend. If not, stop the hate.
Remember, you live in one of the greatest lands in the world -- AMERICA.

Happy 4th to every American. Hopefully we as a nation will end the discrimination of identifying each other as race-American (Italian-American, Chinese-American, Japanese-American, Irish-American, African-American, etc.) and identify us all as simply Americans. Naturally, we must be naturally born or naturalized, yet let's begin to identify ourselves as Americans period. God Bless the USA.
Thank you, it was indeed a great 4th. Please keep in mind that on the day we celebrate our INDEPENDENCE, not our dependence. Everyday should be Independence Day as we have been a Nation of Acheivers and not one of takers.
