Equity Skimming scam

What is this you ask?  This is what happens when con artists talk you the homeowner into deeding them onto your title or Deed of Trust and then pulling money out of the property and disappearing with the proceeds.  You are left holding even further debt than you were from the beginning.  With all of the concerns in the housing markets nationwide Washington State has not suffered as badly or as much as a lot of the other states have.  Although the Federal Government, Local government and many Lenders are trying to stop the bleeding as much as possible it is in reality too little too late.  If you are having mortgage issues do not believe that the stranger at the door or the letter in the mail has the answer to help you. As the saying goes.... If it sounds too good to be true....... It usually is!
