To remove or add a name you will need to prepare a new document according to the guidelines of the Clerk of the Court in Monroe County.  You will file the doc, pay the recording fees and provide a self addressed envelope and in approximately 4 weeks (as of July 2013) you'll receive the original document.  For more information read this more detailed post.

If you married and purchased the property when you were married the new property is marital property in Key West FL.  You may want to save yourself the time and money and keep title the way that it is.  I recommend talking to your accountant and attorney to determine the best way to hold title to your property.

If you purchased the property as an investment property you may want to set up an LLC to protect your personal assets.  Talk to your accountant and your attorney about this option.  For more information about investment property read this detailed post about investment property.
