Happy 4th of July America
This holiday marks the adoption of the Declaration of Independence by the British Colonies in North America or the birth of the United States of America. This is a celebration of freedom, independence and liberty. Americans celebrate this holiday by picnics, barbeques, fireworks, parades, and carnivals. Here in Arizona the pool or other water feature or game also plays an important part in celebrating this the national holiday.
Beautiful patriotic music often accompanys these fantastic fireworks shows. These songs include: "The Star-Spangled Banner", "God Bless America", "America the Beautiful", "My Country, 'Tis of Thee", "This Land Is Your Land", "Stars and Stripes Forever", and, regionally, "Yankee Doodle" in northeastern states and "Dixie" in southern states. Some of the lyrics recall images of the Revolutionary War or the War of 1812.
