Cynthia,

Sounds like my idea of heaven....it's so nice that the military personnel are able to place reservations so far in advance.

The beach looks beautiful and the water temperatures sound very inviting.

Hi Jo,
I never knew until today when I researched this that members of the military had this option.  It really is a great pert for them.  Well deserved I say.

Keith,
Sorry I do not know what USA-A clients are so I  must not.  Enlighten me please.

Hello Diane,
I am fortunate indeed.  Was your photo taken from the pier at the Sheraton?

Jennifer B.
What's a few thousand miles when you are talking about a warm beach?  LOL

Carole,
I was so pleased to learn about the  facilities available to military families.  I'm sure they are not luxurious but  they sound  very adequate.

Hello Joan,
Too bad, we'd love have you visit.

James,
I had no idea Coast Guard trained here, I knew about Fort Macon.  Just never run into these guys.....interesting.

Hi Candy,
Yes, great area to vacation and come  Spring, our tourist season will be  going full blast.

Hello Lisa,
I hope it provides an opportunity for vacation for these families.  With the price of fuel, food and so many other things on the rise, this should the answer for many.

Diane,
I was pretty sure that was the location.  Just down the street from where I grew up.  :0)

Hi Susan,
Yes, I used to pier fish with my Granddaddy and there were times when we caught nothing and times when our coolers were overflowing.  He loved it.
