One of the best ways to enjoy the Crystal Coast of North Carolina...  Is from the water.  Kayaking is not only fun and relaxing (depending on how fast you row), it is great excercise and allows you to enjoy things from a different point of view.

If you do not have your own kayak, there are several places you can rent one. Then all you have to decide is where to go.  Kayaking is fabulous on Bogue Sound. The ocean is a great place too, but expect to get much more of a work out should you decide on the Atlantic Ocean.  On the island, you can meander through the many canals, and enjoy getting to know lots of the area.  You can wave to the folks chillin' out on their docks and back porches, you can enjoy seeing the many birds that call the Crystal Coast home, and if you happen past one of our water front restaurants, you can stop off for a drink or a great meal (and a well deserved break)!
