Why do you blog?

Let’s face it, It does not matter what type of blogger you are “every blogger wants the same thing. Most all bloggers want the same thing “they all want to do better on Google.

That’s right (believe it or not) bloggers want something when they blog. It does not matter if you blog for the fame “if you blog for fun if you blog for access, or if you blog for the money “one thing all bloggers look for is “organic page ranking”

Chances are if you are reading this blog then you are a blogger like me, and if that’s the case- congratulations “you” are pretty smart because bloggers are smart. Blogging automatically helps you take care of a lot of SEO mechanics, especially if you use WordPress. One of the things Google looks for when they page rank is how crawl-able your website is. When Goggle crawls through websites they are looking for certain signs, and depending how good the signs are directly effects the ranking of your website.

Blogging has been a massive part of the SEO mechanics and allows an individual to express and share excerpts of their business and pertinent information to online consumers.

Whatever business you are in “it’s all about being ranked organically on Google, and businesses that achieve the front page status enjoy the extreme benefits of being on the front page of Google.

Good post Jon.  I blog to get found by potential clients.  That happened twice yesterday.  I blog to network with other agents to get referrals.  That has happened twice this year already.  I also blog for fun and for features.  That happens a lot.  Suggested!

Google page 1.... Ahhhh sweet! And yes - to be found there would definitely be a plus.  I do find my blogging motivation to be rooted in networking and support... usually starting with some kind of rant.  LOL!!

Jon, The more we blog, the more the search results improve, and the more the phone rings.  Our niche posts are doing well for us as far as getting inquiries.  From there it's up to us to turn them into clients.

Jon, I hated blogging when I first started. Primarily, because I didn't really get it. My first post was a regurgitation of facts about a local recreation facility. Things have changed a great deal since that first post in 2009. I learned to write about a lot of different things other than just real estate. It shows the personal side of me.

Now, that being said, much of my blogging is painful to the membership. I write a lot of market reports and neighborhood posts. However, that's what makes the phone ring. I have page one organic Google ranking for many of my longtail search terms. I see more and more people being directed to my website everyday because of my blogging efforts here. After all, that's what blogging is really about...getting business.

Tammie~ I hear you loud and clear...And I think the good news is that Google is actively helping small businesses get better organic page ranking. They are working on many great things to help us do better with organic SEO. The canonical page is one of the many things coming real soon that's going to be paying off for us bloggers.....Thanks for an amazingly awesome comment!!!!
