What's Your Priority?
I've just finished a series on a new thought process from Clay Carr's "The New Manager's Survival Manual" - BVGDADC. The series was about the 7 things we need in order to become great managers. One thing I realized was that these are not just actions that new managers need to put into place but anyone in the business world. If you have any desire to succeed, this is where you should begin.
BVGDADC is such a simple idea:
V - Clear Vision
G - S.M.A.R.T. Goals
D - Unquenchable Determination
A - Positive Mental Attitude
D - Self-Discipline
C - Effective Communication
This has been a great road to travel. I can't help but ask, what's your priority? Is it to start setting S.M.A.R.T. goals? Or perhaps you want to work on having a positive mental attitude. Maybe effective communication is what you need to work on. I'd love to hear which area you are going to prioritize to help grow yourself and your business.
