I got a call yesterday about this new program for Real Estate Advocates and I took part in the conference call but I'm just not sure this is for me.  The cost is $3900 and they say they give it back to you on referral fees but what if you never get any referrals?  Market placements are for about 150000, so in Baltimore there are going to be 5 Real Estate Experts.  The conference call was really vague and salesy.  Does anyone participate in this program?  How have the results been?  I tried putting things into Google that were suggested to see if their sites came up and they didn't.  Is this just another sales lead gimmick for a company to make money?  I'd be interested to hear what people have to say about this platform.

Having dug some more into their website, I find that some of their marketing material points to activerain.  Their fees are excessive and sales tactics are pretty hard core.  The easiest sale for a salesman is another salesman - so active rainers should beware and be thoroughly comfortable with what they are selling.  I'm not.  So far they have 300+ agents signed up across the country and I've tried all the search instances they suggested and they don't come up.  Their website is pretty impressive with nice graphics and it's well put together.  But, I'm not an easy sale.

If you are thinking of buying or selling an home in  Maryland give me a call at 410-292-0100 or start your search here and we'll talk about the market conditions and what your home could possibly be worth in today's market place if you are thinking of selling. If you are considering buying a home, there is no better time than now to buy. The tax savings and wealth building alone is worth the plunge into todays market.  Century 21 New Millennium is part of the largest nationwide relocation company and can assist with your move here in Maryland or anywhere in the United States or abroad.  Ask me how.

In keeping with saluting our heroes, during 2013 I am waving flat fees for active duty military, retired military and the families of fallen military, as well as policemen, firemen and emt's. If you enter into a contract by the New Year's eve I will waive the flat fee at settlement. This is a $395 savings. If you are thinking about buying or selling a home give me a call and receive full service real estate assistance from an experienced agent. Our office is open 7 days a week and we can be reached at 410-730-8888 or I can be reached directly at 410-292-0100.

I paid into RE Expert this past March. No leads. I know of two other agents, both high achievers, who joined as well. Nothing for them either. It seems that Angela, who claims to be a happy member and a number of others who make the same claim do not have a link in their signature so it is impossible to test the veracity of their claim or contact them.

One more thing: I first found out about them through a call that claimed to have a referral for me that turned out to be bogus, just to get me to hear the conference call. When I objected to the subterfuge to the staff, they apologized and told me the 3rd party who did that was fired, Unfortunately, I am saddened that similar things happened to others so it wasn't a one-time mistake.

Thanks for all of your posts.  I also received the call asking if I accepted out of state referrals and when I said yes, they wanted to set up a conference call with their office manager and I thought that it was very strange.  I set one up for today, but with all of your posts I know that it's just a waste of time and potentially a lot of money, so thanks again and I hope the market is treating you all well!

They have called me, too.  What kind of idiots do they think Realtors are?  I was aggravated by the call and don't appreciate it at all.  I have registered a complaint w/ the Do Not Call Registry.  The flag I caught was they were wanting to relocate folks to Bloomingdale, GA.  What?  Nobody relocates to Bloomingdale  LOL

Oh my goodness, i just fell for that.  I didn't have the hour to waste.  I just listened to their conference call & they want 2 easy payments of $1950.  Crazy scammers.  I should have googled this before I got on the call.  Thank you Active Rainers for the heads up.  Whew.  Glad I didn't give them money I don't have.

I use to work for RE Experts and I can tell you that this organization is truly the worst one out there for realtors. The owner and CEO Jeff Guthry, is an egotist and a scammer, himself. The word around the office was that as long as we made money off stupid realtors, we were fine with that. Furthur, it didn't matter if anyone benefited from the product. After working there about two weeks, me  and about six other reps quit  in disqust!  I am sorry for the harm I did working for RE Experts...

Just 10 minutes ago I have received that call too, this was for 2nd time. I asked the caller "who was a very bad sales person and his language was really poor" if there are any fees or advance payments that I had to do before I am one the so called preferred agent, his answer was was no! So he is a liar or.

I am asking my self and you all, when this crab will stop? And what are we "REALTORS" and our club "NAR" do about this people that ruin our industry and our reputation do against those highway robbers? Don't you all want to be respected professionals with good and solid reputation. Don;t we all want to go to work and provide a good service to our clients and make our living? Aren't we all tired of all those big and serious issues we are dealing with?

I do not know about you all, but I always like to go back to my basic principles on being honest with my clients and my colleagues REALTOS as well as mortgage, title, inspection and contractors companies, and I like to do my job correct to the benefit of my clients, all involved and the community.

The RE-Experts claim to be licensed REALTORS and they are eligible to receive 20% referral fees. I am wandering why NAR is not stepping in and taking the licence away.

So let us all start defending and protecting our profession. Let us send a copy of this blog to the NAR officials.

A friend of mine, who is also a Realtor, signed on for $3400 and soon discovered what a scam it is.  There may be a class action lawsuit brewing.  At this point there are at least 200 Realtors involved in just California alone. CAR has been contacted and said they would look into it and turn it over to an attorney.  It's not looking good for RE Experts.

The CEO of RE Experts contacted his 'clients' and told them by email that the current system is not working and that there will be a re-organization under another name and please give it 24 months and all will be fine!  Bye, bye money!

June - I just missed a call from this number and googled it to see who the heck it was.  Your blog is what came up in my search, so thanks!  After reading your blog I recognize having gotten a call from them in the spring as well.  They had a "client" that was going to call me back, which was a flat out lie.  It was of course the conference call mentioned.  I had googled them at the time and found out so didn't answer the call.

Lying is an inappropriate way to solicit business, unless I'm just being a prude here.  And I find it interesting how many anonymous responses you've gotten here.

I was quite surprised they completely removed the BLOG it all began with this BLOG I just did on Realtor.Com (see link below) ... and look what it has turned into...I did get a CALL from Leanne yesterday from the Real Estate Advocate,  just before ActiveRain deleted my blog...she asked me to take the BLOG off that had all of the investors names, numbers, eMails, addresses...I told her I would ... Leanne & I visited for awhile... she said she HAD never wrote a BLOG on my BLOG on ActiveRain ... so if you were reading my original Blog and the comments on ActiveRain you could see many anonymous entries that were MEAN and appeared to be from disgruntled employees & Jeff Guthrie himself or atleaset someone who was trying to PORTRAY this ... it was QUITE and Active issue ... so then about ½ hour later I went in ActiveRain to remove what Leanne asked me to remove and IT was gone ... all of it... the WHOLE BLOG ... I am just glad I saved all of the eMails pertaining to the BLOG, in a file in my eMail filing cabinet ... so I still have most of the information... I did not save some of the MEAN  comments... but the ones that had good information about this REexpert Issue...  And as you can see from this Blog I did on Realtor.com  on October 6th... this is my original BLOG  I did do on ActiveRain... It just asked a innocent Question and I had only a few replys on it until  September...and then WOW... there have been NO comments on this Realtor.com BLOG though... not quite as Active place as ActiveRain is...

I was going to join reexperts at the beginning of the year but I decided against it. I had sent them $2500 of the $5000 and it took many calls to Jeff Guthrie but I finally got my check for the refund. I haven't heard from them since. LeAnne was really nice as was Jeff, I just didnt' believe in the way they were going to go about it. I decided to spend the $2500 a month on my own website.

That was until today when I rec'd this email.

I am from Virginia and I did buy into the RE Expert program based on the testimonies of reputable agents who were spokespersons for them. They had a good idea but were mismanaged and sabotaged within by disgruntled employees. They are trying to get their footing by revamping under another name but it doesn't look good. Stay away. I doubt I will see any of my investment come back to me in the form of leads.

I am a gullible re expert agent and would like to know how to access the supposed websites that are out there....the only websites I saw was a link to a page where I selected my niche markets? Jeff mentioned in his webinar we have to do our part and blog but I don't have access to my websites...any help out there? No phone calls to call...

Search specific targets, Portland Condos, Denver New Homes, etc. See if your sites are up and active, if not you may need to contact techsupport@thereadvocate.comfor assistance. Or log onto the REexpert website and make sure you did activate your niches.

This post was not intended to be a forum to air your displeasure with REExperts, but rather educating realtors and as a place for education.  This is not a place for disgruntled employees to air their grievances with REExperts.  All posts that air displeasure with RE Experts will be deleted.

"All posts that air displeasure with RE Experts will be deleted."

What?  Why not delete them all June?  This isn't a REexpert love session!  This began with displeasure and morphed into helping these victims get their money back.

"but rather educating realtors and as a place for education"

By disclosing the fraud that has been purpetrated on them by this fraud of a company by someone who works there is the greateste education about this organization they can receive!

Maybe it could be said that with all of the blogs that are out there that this could be construed as 'piling on'.  Okay, I can go along with that.  But it's based upon fact not conjecture and misinformation.

I could go on but why?  You are going to delete this within moments.

Here's some facts for you.  REexpert closed their doors today.  I was there.  I was one of the remaining few that they asked to leave.  It's over.

I hope that those of you that heeded the warnings that we have been putting out there for the last month.  Hopefully you have made all of the efforts needed to get your money.  It's not too late to call your attorney General and stake your claim.

Reexperts is dead.  This story is not over by a long shot.  This man will resurface with another scam. The extent they are successful in the future is based upon the manner of claims you make now.  It has been my pleasure to join others to 'make the clarion call' to action.

Since they are deleting these blogs I invite you to go to www.ripoffreport.com and continue this effort in letting the world know about this man and his criminal activity.

Tell your story.. It could save someone a LOT of money.

The Company has not closed it doors, everyone settle down.  We just needed sometime to reorganize and come back stronger.  Thank all of you who sent in your money when we needed it the most.  It has saved the company.

We have put our 'super team' together and are now ready to serve you.  All of you will be glad to know that Tara is back in the fold with us.  We look forward to a bigger and brighter future all together.  We have purged the bad apples and now have a team of trusted and dedicated people looking only to providing what we have promised.

Due to the reorganization we cannot serve all 1200 at once so please don't bombard us with phone calls.  We will call some, and email the others of our plans, all of you will be contacted. I know this is a relief to all of you and it is to us as well.

Let's look past all of the destructive criticisms of the past and get on with the future.  I'll have representatives of the company reach out to you at the appropriate time when we have further solidified our plans.

Thank you for your patience.

We became involved with this company well over a year ago, it has been nothing but lip service, no referrals that have amounted to anything and we are out $3500, which we will not see again.  Buyer Beware!!!
