For all of you Brighten Collectable lovers, here is the story of how it started. A couple of high school sweethearts, Terri and Jerry, in the late 60's from San Gabriel started their own business while in high school. It was a t-shirt and belt business and they started working part time and then full time after graduating high school.
Meanwhile there was another couple who had a business sellling purses, belts and shoes. They wanted to move to New Zealand so they met Terri and jerry who bought their business and turned it into a multi million dollar business. In 1985, they named it Brighton Collectables and they have stores all over the United States now. Their business began to grow and they added all types of accessories to their line. In 1998, they opened their first Brighton Collectables store at the Dallas Galleria and it was an immediate success. They now have over 160 exclusive Brighton Stores.
Author's Comments: I have always loved hearts and Brighton's logo and design is a heart so once I found Brighton, it has always been my favorite for handbags, shoes, jewelry, wallets, charms, sunglasses, picture frames and more.......Stop in at your local Brighton and you will fall in love too. They even have stores at the major airports now so what a great thing to do while waiting for a connecting flight.
