In today's edition of "Moving to Highlands Ranch", I'm going to tell you about all the new homes in Highlands Ranch currently available. I hope this page saves you lots of time searching and makes browsing new homes in Highlands Ranch really easy.
It sounds funny to say "new homes" in Highlands Ranch because the entire master-planned community is relatively young. Highlands Ranch was established in 1981. There have been a steady stream of new homes being built ever since. So at the oldest, homes are 25-30 years old; but those were the first homes built. You can find homes very easily that were built in the 90's and since 2000.
Search Resale and New Homes In Highlands Ranch
WHAT'S AVAILABLE
There are currently only three areas in Highlands Ranch that you will find new homes being built. Of those three areas, there are a total of nine developments.
The largest area for new homes is called Backcountry.
Backcountry is an award winning private community that takes Highlands Ranch living to another level. It's not a track home development. There are pockets within Backcountry for all types of single family residences from entry level up to million dollar custom homes sites. Backcountry has its own private pool, clubhouse and bar/lounge serving your favorite drinks on the weekends. For the executive or business person who needs to entertain clientele, it's a fantastic touch.
Within Backcountry, there are currently four home builders comprised of Shea, Paragon, Toll Brothers and Richmond American. Visit the above referenced link to Backcountry and you can browse each new home collection.
The second area for new homes in Highlands Ranch is located at the corner of Farview and Highlands Ranch Parkway. There are presently two developments both operated by Shea Homes: Tresana and Spaces. Tresana offers townhome style attached homes. Spaces is a very modern and "green" development, meaning it was engineered for environmental friendliness. Spaces is a fantastic option for younger first-time home buyers...and if you are a hipster, it's probably where you want to live. As of Summer 2013, Spaces is in their final phases and close to sold-out.
NEW HOMES FOR SENIORS
The final area of new homes in Highlands Ranch is a development called Verona. Verona is specifically designed for 55+ active adults. If I was looking for an active adult community, I would certainly check out Verona. It's located at the Northwest end of town in its own open space. It's very scenic and has unbelievable views of the Rockies. The only drawback I see is the proximity to the C-470 Highway. Let's hope the builder uses high quality windows.
